My journey into law took an unexpected path. When I first studied for the law school admissions test, I didn’t expect to apply to law school. In fact, I didn’t even expect to take the test. I only studied for it because I wanted to bond with my wife (who, at the time, was a busy graduate student and also studying for the same test).

During this time, my wife and I were each other’s study partners. We were determined to see other succeed, and we turned our living room into a nightly study session. We quizzed each other on logic games, debated reading comprehension passages, and celebrated every small victory together. To us, those late nights weren’t just about mastering the material. Instead, they were a way for us to connect amid our busy schedules, lean on each other’s strengths, and build a partnership grounded in mutual support.

Then, something incredible happened. While studying for the test, I discovered my passion for the law. I saw so many injustices in our society, and I was inspired by stories of ordinary lawyers making a difference. So, I signed up to take the test and go to law school.
